The Rules

Hello there lovely people. Welcome to the rules of this site.

Introductions

This is a role playing game site. We are a small town that has been hit by a horrible wave of crime. A group of people known as The Dark, have been murdering people. Some speculate that thy are a gang gone bad. Others think that it's a group of people who were laid of from the factory in town. The truth? They just love killing and Forreston was as good a place as any other.

Posting

We do have a post count. I know, I know, hold down your groans. It's only 200 words. That's not to bad, right?

We don't want you to role play anything over PG-13. You can handle that. Just skip over the parts that don't qualify.

Please post in third person. It's just better that way.

You will need to post at least every week after joining, so your account won't be deleted. If you must leave us for more than a week, or when we are doing an activity check, be sure to post in the leaving board. We recommend making a plot page to meet new people.

No god-modding. This is when you control what another character does or says. It is also when you hurt or kill another person's character without their consent.

Plots

When you and someone else on the site decide to plot, you must put it in the plots section. It's just easier to keep up with that way.

Any major plots that involve your character being killed by The Dark need to be discussed with an admin. We will have a thread where you can apply for that.

Activity Check

We will hold activity checks every other month. You don't have to post in a thread or anything. Just make sure you've posted with your character recently [the last week]. If you haven't your character will be deleted.

Graphic Sizes

Your avatars must be less than or 100x100 px. Your signatures can be at most 500x300px. We don't want the board stretched. If the board is stretched an admin will remove the graphic from your signature.

OOC

You can't post out of character anywhere, but the OOC Boards. You can always make notes in your posts, but don't make an entire post in OOC.

Applying, Claims, and Shiz Like That

When applying for a character be sure to change your display name to the name of that character. You need to have an avatar and signature for your characters. The admins look at the application board everyday, so don't PM them about it.

If you leave your application in WIP for more than three weeks it will automatically denied. Even if you've posted in the leaving board.

You must claim your playby and your position in this society after being accepted. If you don't and your claim is taken you will have to change it. Don't whine to the admins for your own mistake.

Before You Have Been Accepted

You can only post in the applications board, until you have been accepted. You cannot post in the face claims, the occupations claims, or the who's who. If you want your character to be a part of either the police department or The Dark, you must first PM an admin. You can be a member or an officer without having to go through this. Only those who want a character in the hierarchy. They will ask you some questions and you will provide them a rp sample of how you would play this character. You will also write a little blurb about that character. If it meets requirements you'll be able to make said character.
